Topcoat over faux wood
Posted by dlh on Saturday, October 24, 2020 12:33 PM

If I start with an acrylic base and apply my "woodgrain" with oils, what should be my topcoat, enamel or acrylic?  I hope to use Tamiya clear orange as my topcoat.

Thanks

I don't put anything over the oil paints when doing wood, bt if you do i would go for acrylic, and of course give the oil plenty of time to dry.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
