I just broke the nozzle of my Sparmax Max-3 while tightening it, and part of the thread is still inside the airbrush. Is this possible to fix or have I wrecked it? I checked the Sparmax site and there is a nozzle repair tool, but I'm not sure if that is what I need.
Thanks
darren
So you have the threaded part or part of the threaded part still in the body of the airbrush. Try tapping a wooden barbeque skewer into it and unscrew. Sometimes a reverse sharpened drill bit will work, obviously turned backwards. The wood of the skewer might be too soft but it's worth a try. You now know you can't more than snug those tips up. Less is more.
Thanks for the advice. I used a hobby knife like a screwdriver and out it came!
Darren;
Hmmm, Don't know your own strength, Huh? I have done it and I imagine that few of our other modelers have. The things take little strength to seat tightly and they do distort or break very easily. Get and keep a spare in case you mess up again. Another problem is crossthreading. So, if you're shaking because your nervous put it down till later!
