Over the last couple of days, I have done the NMF on my latest WWII warbird (P-47N). I started with a glossy Alclad black primer and allowed to set up over a day's time. Then I put down a coat of AK Interactive XTreme Metallic dark aluminum (the only one I had sufficient quantity of to cover the entire airframe). It has set up over another day's time. The paint is dry to the touch, but it is also tacky. This is not resulting in any fingerprints that I have seen, but I'm concerned about the tackiness.
The weather here in the Houston, TX area has been a bit muggy (my workshop is in my garage, with the big garage door frequently open). Lots of rain yesterday. Might this have prevented full curing of the primer or paint? If I spray it with a sealant coat, might this eliminate the tackiness? (I'm not going for a shiny NMF, so not concerned that a sealant might dull the aluminum).
