You got it you might as well use it. There isn't anything wrong with a Badger 350.

Badger 350 tip/needle question

Edit - Okay, I took it apart and stared at the instruction manual and realized that the seal nut was extremely loose.  Tightening that up fixed the problem. Embarrassed

Hi, all -

I have a Badger 350 that I've never used (came with a bundle I bought) that I thought I might try to get set up for either doing primer or possibly as an entry level for the kid to try out.  I've noticed that with the needle assembly that came with it (I assume a medium), the fluid cap does not screw down until the needle blocks the tip.  Is there no "zero" on the flow adjustment with this, or do I have a bad needle assembly?  I'm happy to buy a new assembly, but I don't want to set either myself or the kid up for frustration!

To be clear, and borrowing a photo from Don's website (thanks, Don!), I can't get mine do this when trying to close it down:

Badger 350 tip

What I get is small hole with no needle protruding.
