MikeV, Its great for you guys that you have a lot on sourcing for your airbrushing needs but in our country, we have limited stock on airbrushes BRAND and MODELS! In fact I bought my badger 155 at tower hobbies and the airfreight cost me more than the airbrush.

sigman, if im not mistaken, i think tamiya airbrushes are made by iwata as well. in effect, you may have 2 iwata's. later.

I didn't purchase the HP-B. Someone else bought that one. Sorry.

Welcome to the world of Iwata! Just got mine a week ago and I'll never look back from my Aztek! BTW I got my hp-cs for $85 (not on ebay), so I think we both lucked out!
This is what I did with my new Iwata hp-cs...

I've just come out of shock after fainting to realize I didn't dream and MikeV will touch an Iwata. Then I slammed a cars trunk lid on my finger and because of the paint and swelling I haven't been able to type until now...,"OUCH!" OK, I really didn't say "OUCH" and I do apologize to anyone that heard what I really said. As punishment I have a very colorful Model Master Chrysler Engine Blue color fingernail.
Mike, Yin & Yang, black & white. Iwata and Badgers can coexist together. My airbrushes coexist and do not fight each other. You will find out all new airbrushes are "foreign" to people at first. You might just want to keep it around and use it once in a while.
Congratulations on your inexpensive Ebay find. Tell me what you think of the airbrush.

I just hope it's in good useable shape when it arrives as Iwata parts like tips are outrageously expensive. It is $22 for a tip from Bear Air for the Eclipse CS. [:0]

I agree, Mike. Hopefully the tip is in good shape. I had to fix a friends HP-B because he had dropped the AB on the nose without the tip protector on. He gasped when I told him how much it would be to replace the parts. So I bought the AB from him and fixed it all nice. It isn't a hideous price, about $40 for the parts, but I wouldn't want to spend that amount of money on a AB everyday.

I hear people say that the Iwata tips last a long time, but for the price I could buy 6 or 7 tips for the Omni which I know will outlast that one Iwata.
I have had the same tip and needle in my Vega 2000 for years.

if you ask me, thats the only real disappointment in having an iwata is the tips. they are very, very tiny!! i have thick hands and its a chore to break down the iwata and clean it and re-assemble it again. i haven't ran across a cleaning brush that will get down in the tip and clean either. i have some small brushes but they are so stiff that i'm scared i may damage the opening so i just shoot laquer thinner through at about 60 psi and i cleans it fairly well. later.
