Name a good product to strip off enamel cleanly from plastic parts.

I use 99% isopropyl alcohol and a cheap electric toothbrush.  Strips any model paint right to the bare plastic, and doesn't hurt the plastic.

I use brake fluid and removes chrome also.

Easy Off oven cleaner (or store brand equivalent)  Caustic, use with appropriate PPE & ventilation

Brake fluid for the tough paints and oven cleaner for everything else. Won't harm the plastic.

I take it since it is a Testor's product, it should nicley strip off Testor's enamels? 

Its worked on everything I've tried it on.  Its a small amount and a bit pricey.

Castrol super clean works, well super.

I, like you, use Simple Green. I like the ability to dispose of left over product easily and without the EPA black helicopters swarming over my house- uh, so to speak. 

My procedure is to use the SG straight. It hasn’t effected any of the plastic of any model, to date. This includes some OLD Revell (1950s era) and some newer current era plastics. The process will take about two-three days (the older the paint the longer it takes). Just be patient. It gives you that "special time" to rearrange your stash in date-name order, clean your paint booth, count your clamps and other very important things.
