The OP admits to being lazy and wants a single step final coat which will retain the matte finish on the matte areas and a gloss finish on the glossy areas. Like the finish will know the difference.
You have put in the work to paint your figure with appropriate matte and glossy paints. You will just have to bite the bullet and take the time and effort to protect the separate areas and apply separate finishes.
Depending on the amounts of area involved and assuming that the gloss area is minimal I think my approach would be to something like lightly spray the gloss areas. Then when dry, coat them with Humbrol Maskol and overcoat the entire figure with your clear matte sealer of choice. There is really no way around it, you will need to put off the laziness and just do it
There are also polyurethane clearcoats in small cans.
I don't know, there are acrylic,enamel,and Lacquer clearcoats.So what you use will depend on what your base coat is.
