Micro Gloss Airbrush Cleaner?

I tried a few different fluids- Windex, then Aztex airbrush cleaner, and finally some distilled water to make sure anything that could ruin the next paint used through this airbrush would not. I'm not sure which one did the trick, but it worked great afterwards.

I use car window washing fluid diluted with distilled water and a bit of isopropyl alcohol. I then wash that out with Acrylic thinner.

If things are really gunked up I have soaked the dissasembled AB in Windex for a while and put it in an ultrasonic cleaner. Windex has ammonia in it which can damage the AB, so be sure to rinse it thoughly with thinner or distilled water.

Alcohol will work fine, lacquer thinner or acetone and denatured alcohol, all of them will get it done. Like any other product, just avoid letting it set for any long period or it can be a bit more difficult to remove it. In that case I would use MEK.

I have to disagree with soaking the airbrush body in anything, unless the air valve is removed.

I tried using it a few times back in the 90's, and was quite happy with the results, at least with Micro Gloss. But I don't remember what I used back then to clean my airbrush afterwards. 

Never used the stuff myself, but since it cleans up with soap and water, I would think that Windex would work well for cleaning the airbrush.  Its what I use for any other water-based acrylic product that I run through mine.  Lacquer thinner or alcohol would probably gum things up.
