Can soliified paints be used again ? i
Posted by crackers on Monday, January 30, 2023 12:56 AM

I have some Model Shipways paints in small bottles. Over time, these paints have become solified at the bottom of the bottle. Rather than throwout these harden piaints, can they be disolved and put to use ?  Do I use paint thinner ? Alcohol ? Inquiring minds want to know.

Throw them away.

Thick paints may (just may) be saved with thinner.

Solid paints have  used up their bodning agents and will no longer work no matter how you try. You may be able to dissolve some of it but all you will end up with is tinted thinner.

Thinning and endless stirring may give you something  for brush touchup, small areas.  II would not use it in an airbrush.
