X22 tamiya

I prefer to decant tamiya clear from the spray can. It's my goto gloss coat. Works wonderful and dries fast.

I just stick with future.

The little haze I get rubs out pretty easy with Formula 1 Scratch Out.

I never considered that to fix a hazy/frosty clear coat. Doh!!!

I did a deperate disaster recovery once when I unwisely sprayed Tamiya clear flat during a pelting rain storm.  The clear frosted over as it dried due to the super high humidity.  After several calls to friends smarter than myself, I airbrushed lacquer thinner on and waited between coats to see if the frosting would wick out.  It mostly did, but you could still see a faint "frost" over the entire model.

I seem  to get the least haze using denatured alcohol to thin it with, at least most of the  time. I like Mr Leveling thinner but not so much in X-22, in fact hardware store lacquer thinner does as well if not better for me if to use LT and not DNA. But then I do add a little Xylene into that.  I thin 1-1 and add a couple more wet coats. The little haze I get rubs out pretty easy with Formula 1 Scratch Out.
