I had several brands of airbrushes and  all the different brands had different threads. I switch back and forth a lot so to simplify changeovers I spent a little more and instead of getting adapters got quick disconnect fittings. My favored hose which was my old Badger one got the female QD, and I bought the male counterpart QD that fit each of the airbrushes. Makes it less fiddly to go back and forth. I think it cost like $8-10 per airbrush but that is less than I routinely spend buying expendable paint and supplies so it wasn't a budget buster.

There is a us standard for us pipe threads/  Many offshore ones hane a differant one (metric?).

Aside from the diameter, one also has to be aware of thread type, coarse or fine threads.

I have the Paasche QC and Amazon somebody or others universal ones as well which has the Iwata style thread, the connector parts will snap together between the brands but Paasche has a different thread. So I use a universal hose because I like the length and on the Paasche VL the male half of the connector(Paasche connector). The universal on my knock off Iwata, an adapter thread on my Badger and my second Paasche ( I have an H and a VL, the VL has the Paasche end on it, the H I adapted the thread.

I bought a package of three Amazon whoever male side QC's a few years ago that have worked fine on my one QC that stays on my hose, My VL came with it's own Paasche brand obviously. And I bought a pack of Airbrush hose thread adapters that's been handy. But if you buy just the male side of a Paasche QC, I'm pretty sure that will plug into your existing female side of your QC. Don't put a bounty out on me if I'm wrong lol !

Most likely they will not. I started out with Badger and Paasche airbrushes and those both accepted the same Badger hose. But when I was gifted a hand me down Master airbrush and compressor, I had to get an adapter fitting so that the Badger hose would fit on the Master compressor.
The Master hose would not fit on the Badger or Paasche airbrushes.

I have ordered a Paasche H airbrush to go along with the Master Airbrush kit I ordered off Amazon. . .will the connections be the same?    Or will I need to order a Paasche hose or adapter?
