can you put gloss enamel clear coat over BMF?

Hi every one...

I was curious if any one had tried putting clear gloss enamel over bare metal foil? I'mbuilding a 62' t-bird with all the PE trimings and customizing the paint job and interior. I was thinking of taking the chrome hood vernt piece out and putting a black mesh screen in its place and then the cowel that is over that section would have the chrome BMF. I'm just curious if the BMF will be ok under the high gloss clear coat. Any ideas?
