Painting for interior lighting
Posted by Aggieman on Sunday, November 19, 2023 10:49 AM

I've been working on a USS Enterprise for several months now.  I'm using LED light strips to get lighting inside the model.  I've put down a coat of gloss black Krylon on all interior surfaces.  The problem that I'm seeing currently is the light strips, which are 10mm, will not fit near the edge of the saucer section mounted vertically as they are deeper into the saucer.

So my questions are if I spray a metallic chrome on the interior surfaces over the Krylon, (1) will the light reflect off the chrome to emit through the openings that are on the sides of the saucer section, and (2) will there be any bleed through provided my Krylon coverage is sufficient?
