I am currently working on a British Cromwell tank and was curious who makes the best paint shade for a British tank for June 1944?    thanks!

There are several options out there, including a mix of Tamiya colors. My two preferred brands so far are Xtracolor (enamel), and AK Real Color (lacquer).

The Crusader AA is in AK Real Color, while the Sherman and Cromwell are in Xtracolor. Mind you, all three were weathered with different techniques and items, and painted in different styles, with the Crusader being "black based".

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

To me exact match only matters if modeling factory new, even then batches of paint could vary. Then add weathering and close enough becomes good enough.

The easy answer is SCC 15 (a British not-quite look-alike of US Olive Drab).  See MIG products for SCC 15.  However......the real answer is a bit more complex.  I recommend you do some web research to get a better understanding of how SCC 15 came to be.  This question has been addressed by modelers much more knowledgeable than me.  Paint color research scares me and I'm fearless!
