The Future should help seal the edges but don't put it on too heavy or you will end up with a paint ridge when done. Have you considered that the black will show through on the interior, making it appear as though the interior canopy framing is black? On a pre-war SBD, the interior color would have been either interior green or more likely aluminum. If it were mine, I'd do the canopy framing with Model Master Aluminum and forget the Gloss Black & Alclad 2. Even if the rest of the model is done in Alclad 2 Aluminum, the Model Master Aluminum will match up pretty well.
