cleaning external mix AB

I was just wondering if cleaning an externaml mix AB is easier than an internal mix? How do you go about cleaning an external mix AB.

I use a Testors single action, external mix airbrush. I guess it is now the bottom of the line Aztec airbrush. It's my first airbrush, but it works really well for me.

The only cleaning I have to do for my airbrush is to clean the reservoir bottle, its lid, and the siphon tube. The lid has a nozzle at the top that can get clogged, so I use a thin wire (which came with the air brush kit) to clean out the nozzle.

I primarily use acrylic paints, which clean up with soap and water, so cleaning my airbrush takes about five minutes.

I hope that helps a little.

Casey,

I would buy an internal mix airbrush as they have superior atomization compared to an external mix.

MikeV, I already have a Badger 150. I kind of wanted something for just basic one and two color paint schemes on car bodies. The 150 can handle this no problem but I find it kind of a pain to clean.

I see.

Maybe something like the Badger 250 would be good then?
They are cheap too.
