                        its hard for me to tell the difference in the line if i have the crown cap on or the regular cap on. no problems with the needle no seating properly yet jfrejo, but i've only experimented with it so far. later.

                        The only issue you might have is that the needle sticks out further and the tapper of the needle doesn't match the nozzle as well as the .4mm needle so you might and I say might experience the needle not seating properly.

                        Oh, an Iwata and not cross-dressing? I don't run without a crown cap only because I'm afraid I would ram the exposed needle in a project. But the airbrush will run perfectly with out the crown cap. They do make very fine lines, don't they?

                        I cross-dressed once for a Halloween party. It was an interesting to find out how the other gender is view and picked up on. Boy those three security guards were surprised when they realized I had hair on my chest. One guy was dense in the head and it took him an extra hour to figure out I had a hairy chest and it was a costume party. I had to tell him that, "things are not what they seem at a costume party."

                        dont worry fellows, i'm not cross dressing, i just thought it would be a catch-phrase.Big Smile [:D] last night, i used my .3mm needle for my hp-c with the .4mm nozzle and it worked very well. i took the crown cap off and came in close using a 10 drops thinner/ 7 drops mm enamel ratio at 9 psi and got some ultra fine, hard demarcation lines. holding the model at arms length the demarcation lines almost looked masked they are so hard. do any of you hp-c users out there cross dress?Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D] i wonder if it will hurt anything doing this? i would like to mix match some more and play but i dont want to damage any of my airbrush parts so if im heading down a slippery slop, please let me know.

                        i recieved my .5mm conversion parts for the hp-cs over the week end and i'm amazed at the fine line i get with it. i works well for broad coverage but i cant get the ultra fine lines you need for 1/48 scale cammo. anyway, let me know if there are others of you who have cross dressed!!Wink [;)] later.
