Using Future acrylic

I've used it thinned and straight and gotten similar results both ways. Generally, it will go on a little 'thinner' when thinned and is more likely to run. However, because it dries and levels-out quite well, there is little need to thin it in the first place.

I don't pretend to be an expert, but I think it 50:50 with water, with acceptable results. It's just the way I was taught to do it, and I suppose I am subconsciously concerned with the notion of unthinned Future gumming up my airbrush. I have heard some folks actually thin it 50:25:25 with water and rubbing alcohol, which supposedly gives a smoother finish, but I've never tried it.

I do not thin it... I have tinted it, bu tnot thinned.

I don't thin it, and I don't know anyone who does. Though I have heard people on this post talk about thinning it. The key to Future is applying light coats. Thin coats have great self leveling properties, a thick coat can build up in panel lines and around edges.
