                        hmmm, maybe i should use lacquors... but the problem is worse now than it used to be, it used to be not a biggie, i could let the paint set for like 20 minutes, and come back to spray and no problems, but now it is much more of a hassle, more like 30 seconds.

                        Tip dry is a reality of life with acrylics especially and is just something you have to learn to deal with. Keep a Q-tip soaked in thinner nearby and push it into the end of the needle and rotate it and it will clear the paint that has dried on the needle tip. Use hollow-stemmed Q-tips though as they will allow the needle to go into them and not bump up againt the Q-tip stem and possibly damage the needle tip.

                        You will have to do this with your Badger as well as ALL airbrushes have tip dry problems with fast-drying acrylics.

                        i doubt the paasche can be too much more difficult to get to work than my aztek, im not saying the aztek is bad, i'm just not saying it takes a while. a long while. it took me 25 minutes yesterday, when i was painting my 109 T from mpm, and 5 minutes to paint. by that time, theres tipdry, and i have to clean all over again. arg i hope the badger isn't even close to this bad.

                        I recommend the Sotar as well as Iwatas. I have to say that my Sotar sprays better than my Hp-C or B with better atomization but that's me. I would say it is equal with my aeroghaph super 63. My EFBE airbrushes spray better than them all. I don't think you will like spraying model paint with an AB turbo. All mine is really good for spraying is ink and water color and I can get as good of results with my EFBE's or Sotar.

                        Do you mean the Paasche AB turbo?
                        From what I hear it is the finest spraying of them all but it is extremely difficult to get to work properly.

                        I have not received my Sotar and Badger 100LG yet so I can't comment yet. Wink [;)]

                        I will only use inks in the sotar as enamels just clogged it up. And I won't sell it yet as it still has it's uses, It's a very good brush I just find the Iwata works better, barely. I'm just stuck on my Iwata(of course) and my 100LG right now.

                        The Sotar was designed from the ground up to be the finest spraying double-action, internal mix airbrush ever made, and from more than one expert I have been told that it sprays even finer than the Micron which is it's only competition besides the Paasche AB turbo. So let me rephrase it and not use the word "best" this time.

                        The Sotar is arguably the finest spraying airbrush made. Tongue [:P]

                        The only real problem with that just now is that I don't have 150 bucks. I keep having to come up with money for insurance, and inspections and a bunch of stuff like that. Buying a house is a serious hassle it seems. Either way, I can put this off for a couple of months until I get re-situated with the money. Unless I find a great deal on an illustration brush on Ebay.
