Testors MM and Tamiya
Posted by Bones-coa on Friday, May 21, 2004 11:09 PM
I'm sure this question has been asked before and, if so, I apologize.

I'll be doing a camo pattern shortly which will require two Testors MM colors and a Tamiya color. Of course, one is an enamel and the other an acrylic. Can this be done without any problems? Are there any precautions I should take? Thanks.

There should be no problems with that as long as the paint has dried long enough. I would put the enamels on first and the acrylic last if possible as the enamels are easier to mask.
You could use MM Acryl paints and keep it all acrylic also if you want to go that route.

I agree with Mike although in the past I've been skeptical about spraying enamel over acrylic. I tried it a few weeks ago and had no problems with it at all. As Mike said, let the acrylic dry thoroughly and you should not have any problems.
