Fixing paint runs
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, May 23, 2004 4:41 PM
I tried airbrushing for the first time recently and I ended up with a run. I failed to clean it up before it dried. What is the best way to fix them? Do I just simply sand them down and re-spray?

Thanks.

Yes, you can just sand them but give the paint time to cure properly first.
Make sure you feather the edges of the area you sand so that it is smooth enough that the next coat of paint doesn't show the area you sanded.
If there is detail there that you may sand off then you could also strip the paint if needed.
