Mineral spirits will work ok but laquer thinner seems to do a better job (at least to me). Suggestion - to make your brushes last longer, check at a Hobby Lobby, Michael or an art supply store for some "brush soap". It's a soap made for cleaning artist's brushes and its amazing how much paint comes off the brush after you think you've gotten it clean using thinners (still need to clean with thinner first though). The product I use is made by Grummbacher and comes in a 1 pint jar which should last me for years. Can't remember exactly but think it cost me 3 or 4 bucks a few years ago.

It should work fine.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon
