i went to the home depot webpage and viewed this neat looking piece of engineering but to tell you the truth, i'd be a little wary of purchasing this one. maybe spend $40 more bucks for the pancake style compressor which has a larger tank and probably more horses to fill that tank with. it lists shooting nails as one of the duties on this half-pint deal which is laughable in my opinion. i build houses for a living and i guarantee it couldnt keep up with even my trim gun!! gharlane, you need something with atleast 2 horses and maybe a minimum 4 gallon tank if your gonna be shooting alot of paint. there will be some on here that disagree but i'd rather spend a little extra cash up front and have little problems with my purchase than spend the money and miss the mark by a hair. i had the campbell and hausfeld compressor similar to the one you are viewing but it was just not strong enough to keep up with my one hour or so spray sessions. it ran hot and would not kick back on until it cooled for about 30 minutes and would take forever to refill the tank from 75psi to 100psi which left me in a pleasant mood to say the least. it was advertised as quiet but it was anything but when it was in the same room with me!! my advice would be to step up a notch and buy something with a little more to offer. i bought the 2HP Companion from Sears and it has a 7 gallon tank for $129 and it works beautifully!! maybe check out sears and see what they have. your not gonna hurt one much just using it for airbrushing purposes so one of the cheaper deals will work with the larger tank and more HP. later.

QUOTE: how many horses does she have gharlane?

And what size tank?

I haven't use that specific compressor, but the main problem with it is that it is probably going to be noisy. Most general purpose compressors are.

To connect your airbrush you'll need a 1/4" NPT end on your hose. Some hoses are already that way, some need an adapter.
