paint question
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 13, 2004 8:14 PM
I am starting in armor. I have no clue as to what colors I will need. Is there a list somewhere I can get or can someone tell me a basic list including weathering colors that I will need to get started. I will probably start with either u.s or german armor because eventually I want to start a ww2 dio. It just bugs me to no end when I need something I don't have, especially when I have to mail order everything because I don't have a local hobby shop. can someone help please?!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll probably have better luck posting this question in the armor section.

I would also recommend being more specific as to what exactly you want to paint. Color schemes depended on, among other things, type of armor, time of year, and theater of operations.

Take a little time to search the net looking for how people do their weathering techniques. They will typically outline what colors they use, as well as how to apply (and in some cases, remove) washes and weathering. The "Search the forums" box in the upper right helps, as do search engines like Yahoo! and Google.

I realize this is very vague, but I hope it helps.
