Another Alclad question
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, June 14, 2004 3:33 PM
OK I will be using Alclad for the first time, and thanks Swanny for your website and tips. My question is this, I bought the gloss black under coat that Alclad makes and wanted to know if I had to thin it wil Laquer thinner also or is it ready to go.I read the can and not seeing it.

Nothing you purchase from Alcad should require thinning. I , however, use automotive paints, they are so much cheaper. Some of the Alcad metalizers require different undercoats than others. Experiment!

ooo thanks for pointing that out. I misread swanny thought he said he uses a good laquer thinner for alclad. Almost made my Monogram B-17 harder then it already is with all the danged filling.
