Dixieart question...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 12:19 PM
Hello guys!

After long considrations with you guys, I've finally ordered the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS Cool [8D] from dixieart.
Basicly they were the cheapest of all considering the shippment to Israel.
Before ordering I asked them via email about the shippment. they answered me very quickley, less then a day.
I've made the order on friday, and recieved the automatic messages right after.
On monday I sent an email asking if they have everything in stock, is everything allright and when they are going to ship it.
So far no answer...
Is it common to them to reply emails after 4-5 days or even more? I'm becoming nervouse not hearing anything after putting all this money. (Is it at risk??).
Should I ask someone specific (that you guys know about) there that would have an answer?
Thanks!

I recently ordered a couple of items from Dixieart over the Internet. When I placed my order, they asked for my telephone number in case they needed to contact me about any problems. The day after my order, they actually telephoned me to let me know that one of the items was not in stock and would not be available for several weeks. They wanted to know if I wanted them to ship the item in stock immediately, to wait until the back-ordered item was available then ship the items together, or to cancel my order for the back-ordered item.

Needless to say, I was surprised that they would even call to ask. I'd say that you have nothing to worry about, but if you really want to know then I would recommend you call them direct. Probably anyone there can answer your question, or refer you to the person who can.

I recently orderd from them also. I found that when dealing with them use the 800 number and don't bother with the emails. I think its a situation where you trade customer service for really low prices. They did come thru for me in the end but it took longer then I expected. They were up front with me on the phone and said I could cancel my order at any time while they waited to get my Airbrush from the manufacturer. The charge never came thru to my credit card company until they actually shipped to me.

I ordered my Omni 4000 Monday and got it today. Three days is pretty decent service in my book. I'd give them a call and see what's going on. Perhaps they can give you a UPS tracking number if it has already shipped.

You're lucky Scott!!! I ordered an Omni 5000 and it took over a month to get it. I was blown off repeatedly, until I finally got a hold of someone competent enough to deal with the situation. They kept telling me it shipped, it shipped, it shipped.....got so sick of hearing it I had to get a bit demanding to get my product. Like Kirk said sometimes they seem to trade off cutomer service for low prices (Welcome to the Forums Kirk!!!). Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it SHModeler....it will get there...I'm not trying to scare ya!! Just keep calling their 800 # and hound them till they finally ship!

my experiences vary with dixieart, i usually order, and a couple of days later it comes. i email them about questions and get an almost imediate answer, sometimes i get no answer. i usually phone them if i have questions now, buy since i have an hp-c and hp-cs i havent been worried about airbrushes anymore and am focusing on modelling now. be patient, and when you get your order, it'll be worth my friend. later.

That's weird, Heath. Usually a company had bad service or good service. You don't find many that vary from day to day or salesman to salesman. They are in Louisiana, maybe they only like people with southern accents Smile [:)]

I ordered my HP-CS from Dixieart a few weeks ago.

They are a little slow on the emails as it took about a week for them for them to send me an email with the shipping costs (to Australia). These were a little more expensive than I expected, but still cheaper than purchasing locally.

Anyway the AB, .5mm needle and associated bits arrived on my doorstep four days after I confirmed the shipping. Big Smile [:D]

Salty, thanks for the recommendation the Iwata is brilliant.

Cheers

Darson,

I too ordered the HP-CS with the .5 needle, nozzle combo. They said that they were out of .5 mm nozzle cap. Did you get yours?

Thanks guys!

However I must admite that now I'm stumped even moreBlindfold [X-)]...

Calling the 800 nomber would still cost me since I'll be calling from "the other side of the globe" but if emails wont do the trick I guess it will be my only chance.

Man, I sure hope they got everything in stock....
