thinner/brush cleaner question
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 4:45 PM
What is the most effective thinner/brush cleaner for enamel paint and sable hair brushes?

I've been using mineral spirits, but I'm wondering if there's a more viable alternative.

I use Testors brush cleaner, but I don't waste a drop. I quickly dip the brush into the cleaner and wipe off as much paint as possible on a paper towel - repeating this process perhaps 10 - 15 times until no paint comes out of the brush at all. This way, the cleaner never gets "dirty" and the bottle I bought over a year ago is still nearly 95% full.
