Tamiya's Gun metal differences??
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, June 18, 2004 11:11 AM
Hello all.

I would like to know if there is a reall difference between Tamiya TATS38 (which I assume is Identicale to Tamiya X10) and Tamiya TATS42 light gun metal.
Yes... I know the difference between LIGHT and DARK (or in this case, between)
but a friend of mine is building Tamiya's 1:20 Tyrell honda, F1.
It calls to paint it with TATS38. He also wanna build Tamiya's 1:12 Hayabusa suzuki bike, and there it calls TATS42.
Is there a big difference between them or will it be O.K. to use one of the gun metals.
Is there any praticular equivalence with humbrol HUC5039, metal cote?
thanks!
