Sotar 20/20 Any good?

I would only use fine acrylics in that one. It is a precision instrument and might get tempermental if you do enamals or lacquars through it. MikeV would know best.

The Sotar 2020 is an awesome airbrush for it's intended purpose and that is fine detail spraying. I would not recommend one as an all-around double-action airbrush. For an all-around model I recommend the Omni 4000 for a gravity feed as it will spray most any pattern you need for modeling.
If you want something more precise than the Omni then I would move up to a Badger 100LG and if you need the most precision then get a Sotar 2020-2 with a med tip/needle.

Not to speak for Mike, he's certainly the airbrush expert, however I think I recall seeing him mention that the Sotar 20-20 is more suited to illustration than model painting. It just doesn't spray model-type paints very well and is more suited to ink.

When I said the Sotar was not good for modeling I was referring to the fine tip and needle which are designed for thin mediums.
I have a Sotar with the med tip and needle and it works well with MM Acryl paints although I need to spend some more time with it to get a good feel for how it reacts.

My mistake. I apologize for steering you wrong woodbeck, and Mike, thanks for straightening me out. I should have known that the tips would be interchangeable, but I'm so used to Omni's now I never think of it.

I get so used to my Omni's also that I forget that most of the others have three tips and needles to choose from.
