I purchased one today, and I also purchased at wal-mart a cambel hausfield quiet air air compressor with built in air regulator, the air compressor was $71. One added question does it matter where in the line the moisture trap is, I purchase an airbrush hose with an inline moisture trap, is that ok or do I need one closer to the compressor?

No, the moisture trap needs to be as close to the airbrush as you can get it so that it will trap any moisture that gets in the line. Having it in the airbrush hose will work fine.

Enjoy the 4000. I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Good luck and enjoy

Paul,

How long has your Quiet Compressor lasted?
They are notorious for burning up within a short time from T-shirt artists feedback.
Of course they are spraying at 50-90 psi which woukd work it really hard.

I think it is quiet. I live in an apartment with very thin walls, I can hear the neighbor's kids crying at 3 am. I asked both neighbors while the air compressor was running and neither could hear it. which is exactly what I wanted and the best part is it was under $100
