Model Master Pro Airbrush
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, July 3, 2004 11:17 AM
First let me apology for my bad English Blush [:I]
My "Model Master Pro Airbrush" is been use only for one year (it was closed in a box for many years). All was fine till last week when I noticed that the trigger is going free and the airbrush is not spraying any paint. Angry [:(!] The funny think is when the nozzle is removed from the airbrush...the trigger operate normally (I can feel the spring load. and when I reinstalling the nozzle back (tan) the trigger is not functioning normally.

I was cleaning my airbrush closely after each use ... did I missed something?Disapprove [V].

I live outside the USA and I don't think I'll be able to send back my airbrush to Aztek (very expansive).

Please any good advice from other Aztek users.

what kinda paint did you use. If Enamels or lacquers take the tip and put it in a jar with lacquer thinner for a day with the lid on.

I'm using enamel paints (Humbrol & MM). And I don't think its something with the tips because the prob appears again with brand new tip that never been used.

try clearing the vent hole in the cap of the siphon feed cup, and make sure that it is spraying water. if it isn't you know there is a problem

Well you should move on to a new one. Did you airbrush come with a red colored plastic thing that is round and hollow in the middle. if it did thats the tip tightener, try titghtening your tip more...till it clicks.

Hi there ....what you just said??? What should I do with the "red plastic cross"??
I never new what do do with it ...I just used it for cleaning; I insert it in the bore and twist it several times in both directions.
The manual was missing from the box when I got it....
It's a "scoop" for me ...please once again what should I do with the red plastic cross?
It's got long leg and short leg the diameter as the bore and same for the small hole where I insert the paint cup.

plz plz plz maybe you saved me some $$$ buying new AB

Many thanks

theres a hole in the middle, and sticking out is a short "leg", a long leg, and a fat leg. stick the nozzle into the tapered side of the hole kinda like a V and use the "legs" to twist

The red plastic thing that you use to clean with also loosens the the tip and tightens it. Tighten it til it clicks.

About disassemble the Aztek: long time ago someone put here a link to a Spanish modeler's site that shows how to disassemble and clean it thoroughly and fix the linkage problem. If anyone know any web site with illustrations that might help to fix that Censored [censored] AB
