Problem with my Paasche D-500 compressor
Posted by Wolfp on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 10:32 PM
Got a quickie I hope someone can help me with...Tonight while using my compressor it started bogging then died altogether. It was set to 25psi at the time. I pull the backplate and rotate the plunger a couple of times it cranks back up. Now, when I reapply the hose again with brush, slow bog then quit. If I put the hose and airbrush on, then open the moisture trap, I can get it to pump at 10psi, if I close the moisture trap anymore for higher psi (anything above 10psi), then it quits again. Scratching my head over this one, anyone got a suggestion? Black Eye [B)]

Yes. Buy a new compressor. Big Smile [:D] Wink [;)]
Those diaphragm compressors don't last long and they die from overheating usually.
I am not real familiar with them so I don't know what to tell you. Sorry I couldn't be of help. Sad [:(]
