Badger 155 and omni 4000 is mikeV's recommendation
My recomendation is either badger 100, hp-b (don't consider this a serious option for model paints because the tip is too small) and the h&s evolution

Ray,

The Omni 4000 is probably the best all-around Omni for your purposes.
The Omni 5000 is also nice but it has a smaller color cup and no lid for the cover like the 4000 has. The Omni 6000 is also nice but it is a side-feed which you may or may not like because of the positioning of the cup.

Yeah John I had the same problem with my Aztec. I did not know I could send it back, instead I tore the body apart and remedied the problem until it happened again. It seems after about two hours of use (every couple of weeks) I am having to break it down again. The inside components are soft palastic and I guess they become fatigued pretty easily. Consequently, I have finally decided to purchase another brand this time around. Everybody seems content with the Omni or the Iwata, for affordability I think I will go with the Omni. Any particular model of the Omini better suited for detail work such as stains and motteling?

I think their responsive with replacements because they get a lot of practice. I've had one for less than a year before it broke. They did replace it but while I was waiting I bought a Badger 155 Anthem. My Aztek now sits gathering dust never to see the light of day again.

Yep JD,

I knew a guy that had an Aztek for nearly 5 years before something inside broke. He sent it in and got a brand new one back...no charge.
