How to Make Acrylic Paint thicker
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 9, 2004 8:11 PM
Im painting a Hasegawa RF-4B 1/72 and im using MM acrylic dark green and olive drab. ive put two coats on and its still almost crystal clear, for some reason, doesn't matter how many coats i put on it takes like 10 coats(exaggerating) but it takes quite abit, and its still thin. is there a way that i could make my acrylic paints thicker?

Leave the top off the bottle for about 5 minutes.

Are you airbrushing it? if so are you thinning it to airbrush? Try less thinner or play with the pressure and/or distance from the model and see if that helps.

Those two colors are not that thin and you should get good coverage. I've used them both before without any problems like you mention.
