uh....can you explain what "fadding" the colors means?!!Big Smile [:D] just teasin', like i don't make mistakes sometimes myself!! anyway, you mix lighter shades of the original green by adding yellow and a light gray color, just 5:1 ratio will show a faded look. sometimes, i just take straight yellow, thin it down to like 80% thinner and 20% yellow and crank the pressure down real low and just begin to apply it by barely pulling back on the trigger, it'll look like nothings happening but it will make a noticealbe effect after its dry. tan, just lighten it with the light gray with the same 5:1 ratio and thin it good but not as drastic as the 80:20 deal and let it go. just have fun with it. try hitting the leading edges of panels as well as the middle of panels (assuming you are modelling aircraft) and the upper surfaces. do a dark umber wash to the panel lines and this will enhance the faded look. good luck, and have fun with it friend. you can always paint over it and start over. later.Wink [;)]

this is a photo of a bird i did not long ago and i used the thinned yellow for the faded look on the green as well as the decals to make them look worn. i also used tamiya's buff to achieve a dusty look, and tamiya's smoke to enhance the panel lines and shadow areas.
