HEY,
Glossy paint usually take longer to dry, not to mention you live in georgia, so the heat and humidity dont help any. Just keep it in a cool dry spot and itl dry sooner or later.

Reason is the carrier isn't evaporating.
The humidity is the culprit, to much moisture in the air.

If you have a refrigerated air con, place the model in the same room as it, under a cover of course, and it will dry faster as the air in the room dries out.

Tweety is exactly right. We have the same problem here in TN. You said it's in the basement next to the humidifier. Did you mean DE-humidifier? Humidifiers put moisture into the air, dehumidifiers take moisture out of the air.. Find some place dry for it, and get it out of the basement since they are always damp.

Depending on how dense the paint coverage & the relative humidity, gloss enamels can take several days to cure. Even when they first seem cured to the touch, be very careful handling the model as the paint may still be somewhat soft & pick up fingerprints.
