Hi John.
I have only used them once so far as I have been busy trying to get these two aircraft kits done.
I sprayed Model Master Acryl flat black through them both a while back and the results were pretty good. The Badger 100LG sprays a little finer than the Omni 4000 but not a whole lot with this paint and my limited experiment.
The Sotar is awesome!
It sprays finer than any airbrush I have and I can't wait to test it out some more.
Both the Badger 100LG and the Sotar have the medium needle/tip in them as that is how Badger sent them to me. I am assuming that Badger feels that the fine needle/tip is not suited very well for hobby paints and that is why they sent it this way. I am going to discuss this with Ken Schlotfeldt at the Nationals as I will have a lot of time to learn as much as I can from him. He really knows his airbrushes.
I will try and get some pictures of what these two airbrushes can do this weekend with my limited fine-line capabilities.
Mike
