                        Hi guys....i've just started using the AlcladII black primer for my chrome base and i am wondering if any of you have experience using it. It doesn't seem to actually cure fully and remaind tacky even after a couple of days. Is this normal? Do i just spray the chrome over it while it is still tacky, and if so, do i have to wait a bit or can i coat over it straight away? Any input will be appreciated :o)

                        you need to wait for it to cure fully. Where do you live and what are the conditions?

                        I'm in Australia and dont reallly have problems with paint curing slowly. I read somewhere that the black Alclad primer stays tacky until you spray an Alclad topcoat, ie chrome etc, which seals and cures it. Is this right?

                        just to be on the safe side, i'd wait til it cured hard. it seems that i've had that problem before, and you just have to wait. does it leave fingerprints when you touch it? later.

                        I sprayed a monogram B-17 like that and I remember now it really never did get untacky. It was always a tad sticky. I gave it 48 hours and shot it with no probs.
