Need air
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, August 2, 2004 7:00 PM
Okay, I'm looking to replace my Aztek double action airbrush (I'm tired of buying new nozzles). Any recommendations for a good double action airbrush that's a little more reliable?

There is a topic a few lines down eneitled "First Airbrush" that is a couple of pages long and covers most of the recommendations that people have. Here's a link to it:

My personal preference is the Thayer and Chandler (Badger) Omni series. I have a 4000 (gravity feed) and 3000 (siphon feed) and love them.

I second Scott's remarks.
I can direct you to a place that will get you 40% off the retail price of any Badger products also if that is what you choose.

Stu and Ryan,

If you call this number, ask for the "Fine Scale Forum Discount" and they will give you 40% off the retail price of any Badger product made. The number is
1-888-499-6996.
Make sure you mention the "Fine Scale Forum Discount" or else you will pay
full retail price.
If they cannot answer the phone then leave a message with a number and they
will get back to you within 24 hours.
The part number to order the Omni 4000 with a hose is #T89K and it retails
for $135.
With the 40% off that will run you $81 plus shipping.

Ryan,

I was asked not to post the name of the store on the forum as of yet for whatever reason. If you call you will find out who it is.
They are a small business that deals directly with Badger.
I do not work for them but I was given the message to post on the forum that people mentioning this forum when they call will get the discount.

It is not my business as I do not have any business whatsoever.
I am just an end-user of Badger products who endorses what I like.

Thanks, it's nice that you returned to modeling after hearing the likes of me. Blush [:I]

A book? Now that is funny. Laugh [(-D]
I am only passing on what I have learned from various sources over the years.
I am no expert by any means.

I ordered my Badger 360 and some other items from the company, it's a phenomenal deal. They didn't offer options on shipping though, so it made it a tough wait to finally get it. :D

I'll probably go back and order a true gravity feed and some other items after I get used to my new 360 (I moved from an Aztek too). ;)

Hmm, that it is interesting. You think the company would want their name out. IS there a reason you can't say it?

I think it's Fine Scale not wanting free advertising on the forums, totally understandable honestly.

That might very well be the reason and they don't want the rules of the forum violated.
