Oh well, probably the trunk of Clark Griswald's station wagon, maybe he drives a garbage trunk & throws them in the back cause lets face it, in one of those he has the room, doesn't matter. Tongue [:P] It always arrives via the UPS man, or some other online places send stuff via the FedEx guy, or Twobobs sends everything for free via the trusty old postman, as long as I find what I consider to be the best price for the product I'm looking for. Mike, please don't knock it until you've tried it.

I wasn't knocking it, I was telling you how he picks up his merchandise in light of you saying he was not selling out of his car trunk.
It was a joke. Tongue [:P]

Loylein,
I got my Omni 4000 from the same person as Brian. No pain, quick service and the price can't be beat (well, maybe it can, but not by much). Then I got myself a rebuilt Thayer& Chandler compressor from Badger's Garage Sale section for $99 plus shipping. Total cost for the airbrush, compressor, and shipping was about $170. The compressor was a little slow in arriving, but it works great, and I think I got a good deal.

Yes Brian.
He picks up his products at Badger's warehouse in Franklin Park in person.

Mike, everything that I've ordered comes in a box that was shipped directly from Badger, it even had packaging/masking tape that had the Badger logo printed on it.

And as I would say, 90% of the abilities of an airbrush are in the hand that holds it. I'm perfectly content with my Omni.

Let me clarify that, he doesn't sell out of a station wagon, he just picks up his items from Badger in one. Big Smile [:D]

Actually it is from the back of a station wagon, not a trunk. Tongue [:P] Laugh [(-D]

I got my Omni 4000 with hose for $62.59. It wasn't used, stolen, or from the trunk of someones car, it was from an internet retailer listed on the Badger website. It was even shipped directly from Badger. Here's the link if you're interested. I've ordered from them twice already & have recieved everything right away.

BADGER!! heh

I use an omni4000 and it is great. Awesome lines, easy to clean, rugged and ready to go. I shoot both lacquar and acrylics, often both one after another, clean up is easy between the 2 mediums and I have had zero gumming. It double action with a good sized gravity cup and very inexpensive... put some of that $150 towards other stuff like glue. You can get them under $90 through a coneection that MikeV has or www.airbear.com. Either way you will be happy with it... thats an orderWink [;)].

I would stay away from the Aztek as it is problematic for most people.
Get a real, metal airbrush and it will last you forever.
I prefer Badger/Thayer & Chandler to all other brands but there are many good models from several companies.

Hey Loylein...
My girlfriend bought me one of the top of the line Aztec air brushes and after a year or so, it doesn't work. it's impossible to clean because you can't take it apart. So any time paint dries inside (whehter you know it's there or not) you're screwed.
I would look at MicroMark for a compressor. they have a good generic compressor for like $119 www.micromark.com
Also, I'd stay away from Aztec airbrushes. Haven't heard many good things about their longevity. I'd look at Paache and Iwata. I'm in the process of looking for a new one and they're pretty solid. Internal Mix, Double Action, Gravity feed I have found is the easiest and best way to go.

Good luck.

Hey gang, need a good airbrush for beginner that is not to pricey, lets say under 150.00. Ebay currently has an aztec and testors many blue compressor for 129.00? I am currently using an airbrush that I got off ebay from Airbrush City. Not bad but, think I can do better.
