The Tamiya and Model Master colours are not the same shade as the Britsh colour, they are more like the colour that was used by the US. The British colour is more of a pink colour than yellow.
Life colour also make this FS 30279 if you want it in acrylic. It`s number is UA 089.

Hi Tom,

I used Xtracolor's X031 RAF desert pink (modern) for my Gulf War Tornado GR1. The FS reference is 30279.

Cheers

HEY,
Tamiya makes a Desert storm sand and mm makes a gulf war sand. Im pretty sure they are the same color. They should work.

Can anyone provide me with a good Desert Pink paint to use on a Desert Storm SB 2 Buccaneer? I've never modeled anything from either Gulf War, that being a little too contemporary for me, but I love this awful old Airfix Buccaneer my friend on the a/c site kindly traded me. I'm already cutting off the alignment pins and putting in shims, a la vacuform kits, to overcome the impossibly bad fuselage fit. But I need to locate the main paint color, and I don't know where to begin looking for the perfect match.
