Has anyone checked Dixieart's airbrush prices lately??

Holy hell! I hadn't visited their website since I bought my Iwata Eclipse CS a little over a year ago for about $59. Now they're going for $105!! Is it because they're so popular or what? Is this the trend everywhere? If it's just Dixieart and they're running some price fixing scam, screw em! I'll buy from Coast from now on!

$105 seems to be the going price even at Coast. I f I remember right Iwata raised their prices earlier this year and it had to be a while longer than a year that the airbrush was only $59. Are you sure you don't mean the Revolution which is around $59?.

It's always that expensive. I thought steel was close to $0.02 per tonne and aluminum is a couple of pennies a pound

When I bought my Eclipse, it WASN'T the Revolution model. It was the HP-CS (I think it's the 4500 model). It was $59 delivered with free shipping! I know it wasn't more than that, because I wouldn't have paid more than that.

Jroden, you got a steal if you bought the eclipse from dixie at that price friend. i was shopping for my double action brush sept. of last year, and remember comparing the omni line of brushes to the iwata, and the eclipse was $105 then. later.

No, that is just typical overpriced Japanese products. Tongue [:P]
Badger sells more airbrushes worldwide than all other airbrush companies combined and yet they don't charge exuberant prices, so popularity is not the reason.

Japanese are not the only ones, makers of SUVs and any other 85% plastic/fiberglass vehicles are overcharging as well IMO!!Wink [;)] ok, maybe 85% is a slight overstatement, but i remember when paying $45,000.00 dollars for a mercedes was way out there, now you pay that for a freakin' pickup!!!
