I have a MSA Comfo Elite and like it very much.

Search Ebay as there are a few on there for $5 right now and they retail for over $30.

I don't know of any good respirators but heres an idea...Paint right by a door, shut the door then hold your breath. Spray a few shots, step out, catch your breath, then repeat.

Mine is a 3M that came from Lowes or Home Depot. It works very well and replacement cartridges are easy to get since they carry them as well.

I've purchased my respirators and cartridges from both stores for years. They carry quite an assortment at reasonable prices. Check the filters first before you buy to assure you have the proper one for the job.

I got a 3M resperator. It works great! Just any resperator that's 3m will probably work great.
