Mix paint with your Dremel
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 7:15 PM
I saw a couple of posting about a badger paint mixer and it got me thinking, how can I use my dremel. Well I came up with a solution for all you guys who have Dremels. I took a metal coat hanger and cut out a strip about 5inchs long. Then I bent the end into a very small L shape. I use a chuck with my Dremel so it held the piece nice and tight. Turn it on at the lowest setting and you have a nicely mixed paint. It works great. Two things to remember 1) bend the end as small as you can. If you don't you will have paint all over the place. 2) Do not use electrical wire, it tends to bend and then you have paint all over the place.( I learned that the hard way). I hope it works well for you guys who have a Dremel.

Great tip! I just used your idea and it worked great (though I did use a cordless drill instead of a Dremel, just because it is always handy on my work bench.)

HEY,
I had thought of that, but my dremel only has two speeds, fast and lightning fast, so i dont think it will work for me, but ill try anyway.

I bought one of those battery driven coffee frothers!! just the right speed to mix with without re-decorating the room.It has a little twisty end which you can snip off with pliers to leave a 90' angle. Dirt cheap as well.
