Thanks Mike and Snowy. If you guys say it will work, that's good enough for me. All I knew for sure is that what he has is different from what we use over here.

Tominator, I use Pledge One Go a fair bit and it has never caused me a problem. Mostly I have used it over Tamiya Acrylics and it has never caused the paint to run, (I usually let the Tamiya dry for a couple of days.). You can also use it to dip clear parts with good results, it does have a yellow tinge in the bottle but I haven't noticed this on my models, but then they are painted in camo so it might be hard to tell. Overall I would feel comfortable in recommending it and using it.

Pledge one go is the closest equivalent in Oz since Johnson's stopped Super Stride a few years back. I still have 2/3 of my bottle of Stride left and 3/4 of a BIG bottle of Future I purchased while on holiday in the USA.

I have not used Pledge yet but have eyeballed the stuff in Coles. It does have an ammonia smell and that concerns me a bit but blokes I have talked to here and in the club say it is ok

I agree with Music City, pop over to the Aussie Modellers thread and you will find there is a discussion contained within. Also, post a requerst there and we will all try and help.

You've got something different!! Future has virtually no odor, certainly no ammonia odor, and it is prefectly clear. No yellow tint at all.

There is an "Aussie Modelers" thread in the General Modeling forum (here is the link: http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11142) If none of them show up here to answer your question, try posting it there. I don't think what you have is what we use though.
