Airbrush problem....maybe

Could be your water wasn't thinned enough. Just kidding!

What type of compressor is it? Is it the "Blue Ice" compressor?

what type of airbrush is it? I have used the blue testors compressor on occasion and it worked ok... couldn't paint with anything real viscous but it worked. And water blew fine too... If you got an aztec brush you'll need to torque the nozzle a bit more... I have one and learned by trial and error if the nozzle wasn't sealed just right the spray was either intermittent or non-existant.

What kind of airbrush is it?

When you sprayed the alcohol did the spray stay the same or did it start out low and get higher? And did you try spraying water after you sprayed the alky? I'm wondering if there was something dried in the nozzle that the alcohol may have dissolved.

I'm not familiar with that compressor, but is there a regulator or any way to adjust the pressure on it? Perhaps it is set too low. Is there a bleed hole (can you hear air escaping when you do not have the airbrush trigger down)? That would affect the volume of air. Is there a leak in your hose connections? Try putting some soapy water on all the hose connections all the way from the comressor to the airbrush. If there is a leak air bubbles will form.

I forget the compressor model but it is a Testors.....it's gray and costs about $150....constant running (no tank)......sorry it's kind of vauge....airbrush.....testors as well double action....it's not the aztec but the ones right before the aztecs came out (I think!?!?!)....(I wish I had the box in front of me with the # on it........I'm at work now)........The nozzzle did seem to have a gap between it and the body of the AB but I didn't want to over tighten it and crack the AB...the nozzle was tight too at that point......maybe I need a regulator.....may it did desolve a piece of dried paint.......I'll try water again and maybe another cleaning.........
