I use MM rattle-can buffing metalizers quite a bit and like them very well. Their biggest problem is that the finish is very soft. It doesn't mask well at all, and it wubs off easily. I usually spray a coat of Future over it, and while this does knock down the sheen slightly (not much, but slightly) it eliminates the problems of rubbing off and it can be lightly masked.

I recently tried Alclad for the first time, and while it looks fine the paint is very thin and I had problems getting it to cover properly.

Testor's has the MM Metalizer line as well with both buffable and non-buffable. They're not quite as good as Alclad but they're at least half the price. As saltydog said they're available at most LHS or online.Smile [:)]

the best metalizers i've ever put through an airbrush is Alclad. most hobby shops carry them, if not there are plenty of mail order/ web stores such as squadron.com/greatmodels. later.

I am the proud owner of a new airbrush and I would like to find out where to buy metallizer paints for use in the airbrush. All comments and answers will be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
