thinned tamiya acrylics removing paint

R.J.N Green is horrible too... last night I was feeling like taking an old model I built OOB and like 'factory new'... decided to try a swanny tip and use Tamiya smoke to simulate gun smoke on the wing leading edges and BAM!!! It ate the paint clean off the wing... it's been sitting there for about 3 months so I dont think curing is an issue haha... even has a coat of dullcoat on top of it..

That's before I knew much about Future so I know now I DEFINITELY will future after the final coat (in the future)...

I can relate to that, I did the same thing. Wish I had an answer for you, but it does the same thing to me. Tamiya just cannot make black paint. Their gloss black is worse than their flat black. The only way I've found to airbrush their gloss black is thin it to the consistency of water and blow it at about 40 psi.

Yes, frequently. If I have to brush anything over Tamiya acrylics, which is very seldom, I'll spray some Future on it first. Not all their paints are that way, but some are. Flat black is horrible; I can look at it wrong and it will start to dissolve again.

I have had similar problems with tamiya enamels recently, this never happened when i used humbrol. As for acrylics i guess the same theory applies; if the 1st coat is too thin the 2nd(especially if it too is thin) tends to lift the first. Also drybrushing tended to scratch thru thin coats of paint even after it had fully cured. Anyway i sympathise with your plight.
