Mike V,
Disregard previous. I hit the wrong key. This doesn`t appear to be my month.

the Crescendo needles are already coated in Teflon according to the book, and they seem pretty smooth already... but anything that makes it a little easier to keep clean and smoother is nice... I might wait and see how the airbrush does after more spraying...

I've read somewhere else about polishing needles with Micro-mesh. I'm gonna try it. They were talking about polishing the sharpened end too, but my guess is that part should be skipped & just roll the body of the needle through the pinched Micro-mesh.

Paasche has a 2nd needle for V fine tips that is polished. I think it should be the one & only needle that is sold for use with that tip. There's just no point in a non-polished needle existing when there's a polished one being sold.

Putting oil on the Omni 5000 needle smoothed it out a lot, but I bet I can get it more like Iwata smoothness if I polish it with Micro-mesh.

I say give them all a try and see what you like best.
Try roosterfish's vegetable oil suggestion, Vasoline, cooking spray and Needle Juice or Super Lube and see which one you prefer.
I imagine they all work to some extent.

Ryan,

Do they charge the customs and taxes on all packages sent to Canada or is it just from retailers?
There has to be a store in Canada that sells Medea Super Lube or Badger Needle Juice.

that means you can use it as an excuse to buy more stuff with it to justify shipping... I do it all the time, my wife falls for it.... haha she doesn't mind... but if all I need is X I think ahead to anything else needed or might be needed in coming builds... and get it ahead of time to cover the cost of shipping better...

Ryan,

Some people used to use Vasoline on the needle and I would imagine some still do. Just be careful and use a very light amount as too much could affect the paint.
The main advantage to Needle Juice and Super Lube is that they contain Teflon, I believe, though I am not sure. It lasts quite a while though and the other oils I don't think will.

Also remember that although some would consider Needle Juice and Super Lube as being "too expensive for oil" a tube will last you for many years, so it is very cheap in the long run.

Yes there is a perfect substitute for the expensive oil but no one listens to me as I'm not in the click. So ignore my addition to this thread when I tell you that elbategev oil will work just as well as the very expensive airbrush oils.

Some people don't realize that, and neither did I the first time I saw it.
I asked Ken about the name and he said it was thought up by an overpayed marketer that used to work for Badger. He now works for Iwata. Big Smile [:D]

Lol! I thought it was gonna mean something else! Yeah I have been around a few of those 'overpaid marketing' guys... wish I could make their money for sitting around coming up with those "ideas"... maybe I'll send Badger a letter about the Woodtek Azbak model 2000 and see if they bite...

Art supply stores or any place that carries a lot of airbrush accessories. Mine is made by Medea and it seems to work fine. Makes things a good bit smoother.

Hey Dean, you can order it online at dixieart.com, it's called Regdab Needle Juice and it sells for $3.35 a bottle. from the main page click on airbrushes, then Badger Main, then scroll down towards the bottom and it's right before you get to the end of the page.
