Heller Paint Names
Posted by chrisrd on Monday, September 20, 2004 4:50 PM
Working on 2 Heller kits but having a problem with Heller recommended paints. I have the Heller paint numbers but not the color name. Tried the Internet to find a Heller color chart and had no success. Is there any paint conversion chart that can help me?

Appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

Hi Richard
Are your Heller kits the slightly older ones with the 7005/9005 paint numbers? If they are, there's usually a cross reference chart in the notes pages of the kits that references Heller paint codes to Humbrol. Using this you can come up with modern paint codes which you can use at Delbert's link to find a color name. Hope this helps.Smile [:)]

The Heller kits I'm working on are fairly new. All the paint numbers are between 1 and 200. The box art does not give all the color information. At a stand still until I can figure out these Heller paint numbers. Appreciate any assistance.

hey there that link i gave you cross references Hellor colors with about 15 other brands and stuff including Model Master, Tamiya and Humbroil lines of color paints.. numbers start at 2 and end at 9065....

In case your haveing trouble finding the exact cross reference page you need here is a link directly to the web page u need... Minus the frame.. just click the numbers under the chart to navigate to see more paint numbers....

Heller, being linked to Airfix, also have a connection with Humbrol, so those are the likely paint numbers you see on your instructions...

The old Heller range with the four digit has not been in use for over 15 years I think!
